My family loved staying at Elk Run Cabin! it was peaceful, relaxing, quiet, and exactly what we were looking for. The kitchen was well stocked with a variety of cookware and adequate dinnerware and utensils.
it was a little cold even with the heat at 68, but the space heaters were a great addition - thank you.
We had a small issue with freezing pipes but maintenance fixed the issue immediately so the water could work. We were so grateful for responsive hosts!
One piece of feedback is the kitchen table is broken, which made it difficult to use - if you leaned on it wrong it would come apart and half would fall. One side is not screwed in, and it does look like multiple attempts have been made to fix it... A new table is definitely needed!
Other than that, everything was great. Thank you for your hospitality in your beautiful cabin! A

Great place for a family to stay!
We really enjoyed the cabin! Our family went for Thanksgiving and had a great time watching Christmas movies, playing games and being by the lake. I’m sure it would be very beautiful to stay in the summer!
The cabin is well equipped with dishes, silverware, wonderful bedding and cozy blankets! The master bedroom also has a rocking chair and two toddler beds, which is perfect for a family! We were very impressed with all the room for people to sleep and the living room fire place was wonderful! It also has a basement with a big tv and a washer and dryer, which is a huge plus for a big family! Definitely recommend this place, we would stay again!! Lynette

Cleaning fee of $275. For one night stay is ridiculous considering the home needs a good deep cleaning. The cabin was warm and cozy upon our arrival. Once we looked around and found ants, bugs, dust balls, and dirty kitchen cabinet drawers, and dirty wine glasses, we were relieved to be there for only one night. We felt we needed to wash everything before use. The beds were comfortable and enough for 5 adult women. Had we been able to check in earlier than 4:00 and been there any other time of the year we would have been extremely disappointed. The outside spaces weren’t cleaned up at all. The screen door off the dining room deck was off and laying against a table. The walk out screen porch hadn’t been cleaned up at all. There was trash in the driveway. It could be a lovely place to stay if it were better taken care of. S

Dad and boys
We enjoyed our long weekend stay. The home is spacious and has everything in the kitchen you might need. The wifi is slow, however. Not a deal breaker though. Hope to return again.
